Insurance & Payments

We will accept most major insurances including BCBS, MMSI, Medica, UBH, Optum, Health Partners, Medicare*, SCHA, UCARE, and Medical Assistance. In cases where there is no health insurance or a provider is not covered by your plan, we offer a sliding fee scale. Patients will be responsible for any co-payments and deductible amounts.  Additionally, some of our services, such as meeting with school personnel and some assessment tools, are not covered by all insurance carriers.  Patients are responsible for payment of non-covered services.

*Please note: There is limited availability for providers able to accept Medicare. Please call our front desk to receive updated information regarding provider availability and waitlist status.


Fees

The cost of our services will vary depending on individual needs and the type of services being provided. Patients may request a copy of our fee schedule from their therapist or front desk at any time.  At the first appointment the therapist can discuss the estimated cost for sessions and discuss payment plan options.  We do offer flexible payment options where a recurring monthly charge is made to a credit/debit card.  Patients can also discuss with your therapist if they are eligible for our sliding fee scale.

*Please note that a 3% surcharge will be imposed for processing credit card payments.


Policy for Missed Appointment

Highland Meadows Counseling Center, INC requires appointments to be cancelled at least 24 hours ahead of time. Clients will be charged $100.00 for each cancelled or missed appointment. If clients fail to cancel an appointment at least 24 hours ahead of time, they may lose any standing appointment days/times. Policy may be waived with the therapist’s consent.
